WOW! why only one Country? and we know that's Mexico, and you unmistakably have something against Mexicans and we see this from you questions and answers on here.
So you would rather stop the flow of associates from countries where most of our hard workers come from, then middle eastern countries where on earth people hate us, take help of our educational system to only plot an attack on us with the experience they gained from us just because there are smaller amount of them coming? Hmmmm! how about we send those people your track?
Racist? The most over used word within the English Language. No.. not racist at all. Not good for business at all, and it punishes the wrong associates.
We could do something along the lines of dry up economic contact with Mexico until they agree to stop the pipeline from their southern border to our southern border. We could also help the Mexican Immigration Officials work that southern border. Of the two, I similar to the second because the Guatemalans do the same thing everyone else does: when they get contained by trouble, they make a hot run for the border.
Yes. It will also slow down the "overstays" as well.
I think we call for to cut down on the number of legal visa issued every year. About 40% over stay and become illegal.
It won't stop the illegals, though. The only course that will stop is to take away incentives, jobs, food assistance, WIC, birthright citizenship, education, etc.
So we put up beside people taking advantage of our welfare services, hospitals and education so they can "hold a better life" or "feed their families" HAS ANYONE EVER HEARD OF PEOPLE STARVING TO DEATH IN MEXICO? OR IS THE MX GOV LINING PEOPLE UP AND SHOOTING THEM? NO! They can survive just fine in MX. Only they want more, more, more, but don't want to evolution their gov to get it. They would rather run over it and reap what we have sown.
No. Just the opposite. If there is difficult demand the US should put resources on issuing visas to those countries. This is a pragmatic approach, people may not like it but off the record immigration is and always has been a demanding problem in free countries. It is better to issue more visas to maintain as much control over the situation as we can.
racedowling said it best, by eliminate the # of visas we are just going to make the matter worse, family that would have other wise got a visa immediately will look for ways to going illegaly, thus you might as well approve more visas to have MORE control over the situation.
Even right wing nutz like glen beck agree next to this... (not that his comments should be taking very seriously but the idea remains)
Without Immigrants, America Stops!
No.
If we stop issuing visa's, we will decrease the number of people who have access to legally recognized immigration procedures. It will ultimately drive up the number of illegal immigrants.
It's been tried within many countries and it never works.
NO, the citizens of our country should demand that the federal govt make it a crime for an immigrant to overstay a visa. Punish the illegal aliens next to a fine and a short prison sentence. It is not other country's fault that our govt refuses to get tough near illegal aliens; it is our pathetic politicians fault. All we own to do is enforce our laws and the illegals will have no reason to stay.
yes temporarily until we can deport some of these illegals who do not belong here, and when issuing them starts back up, enforce the laws and quickly pick up anyone beside an expired visa right away.
Only if you can show that a large number of people who receive visas are routinely overstaying their allotted time and become illegals immigrant. Otherwise, no.
no because that would be just racist
