It depends on a lot of factors. Your jargon skills, your location, your age, your experience, your attitude, and (sadly) your ethnicity.

Language is going to be the biggest obstacle to generallty being "accepted." Having strong English vernacular skills will get you a long way in each day life, since most teenagers and adults are fluent in English. This means that you can move about shopping and get around esaily. However, when it comes to finding work, getting to know people, understanding forms and policies, etc, knowing the dialogue is especially important.

In the larger cities, there are larger immigrant communities, and the people are the society is across the world more cosmopolitan. Norwegians are not known to be particularly outgoing, but usually find those in the more urban areas to be a bit more begin than those in the smaller more close-knit rural communities. Also, in some of the less urban areas, near are still some strong anti-immigration sentiments, and some races, particularly Middle Eastern and African can face some start resentment. In general, though Norwegians can be a bit reserved, most are typically friendly and helpful, and once their trust is earned, they are a especially warm and accepting people.

If you are attending school, you will probably entail to attend an international school until your Norwegian skills are up to par. If you have a good grasp of Norwegian and are only just a little shaky, the school and teachers can probably lend a hand a little, but if you aren't at a level to understand most of what's going on, you'll probably obligation to attend a non-Norwegian school. You may have better luck in lasting parts of the larger cities, where there are very substantial immigrant communities, and many students from varied nationalities. For kindergarten or outstandingly young primary students, they could probably get by in a Norwegian arts school, learning the language along with everything else. And at the converse end of the spectrum, many of the Norwegian universities guide Master's programs in English (though Bachelor's studies are mostly in Norwegian).

As for military service, it is mandatory for Norwegians to serve for a short time. However, this is applicable to Norwegian citizens merely. Source(s): living in Oslo as a foreigner (and sharing experiences with other foreigners around the country)
Not sure about Norway. There are some countries that do not allow race to move there. I know that Switzerland requires a person to have at least possible $500.000 in assets to move to their country.
