Problem next to Immigration Lawyer? Need Advise?
I am an international student in Canada and my application for the Post Graduate Work Permit was refused not long. International students are given PGWP after graduating from post secondary institution. I was refuse because I was issued PGWP before. The problem is that it was not a PGWP I be issued.
I have an Immigration lawyer who have help me 3 years ago with the difficult case which other lawyers be not able to help. This law firm have a quite good reputation.
A month ago, I spoke with him and he suggested me that I should precede near the case. I gave him all the requisite documents he needed and I was told that I would be contacted next day for the retained agreement via email. I wait for almost 3 weeks when I didn’t receive any thing then I contacted office to ask in the region of the retained agreement. The receptionist told me that the lawyer was on Vacation.
When I spoke to him on the phone after he was subsidise from vacation, he didn’t remember anything about my case. I be asked to get back to him after 4 days when his secretary returns. I called after 4 days but he be not available again and the receptionist told me that he would contact me when he comes back. After 2 days, when he didn’t contact me, I called the office few times to speak to him but he be not available again. The receptionist was extremely upset and rude because of my phone calls. When I didn’t get any phone telephone from him, I decided to go to office directly to speak to the advocate but he was not there again.
I am not sure if I should hire him again. Also I felt the attitude of the strange administrative people were kind of unprofessional unlike 3 years ago when population were very professional. Also I cannot trust any other lawyers.
Any push for?

1) make a list of all information you own
2) print all emais you sent to him
3)get another lawyer
4)inform this one that you are going to complain in Canadian Law Society.

There are some very devout attorneys out there but I don't know how much money you have to spend. Schusterman out of Los Angeles comes to mind. Also, my attorney is Rick Gump out of Dallas. He's good, but lately a consultation costs $300 or something like that.
I know what you mean about have an attorney that doesn't seem to care. I had to receive rid of one in the past regarding immigration.

It's in my middle name. One letter. I am going overseas it adjectives depends on security level of the day. most don't look at the middle moniker so closely. but then if your name is on the watch detail or you get selected for 'random searches' next you might want to get it fixed...
I want to attain my mexican husband his papers. what is the best track to walk?
he is already in the system. he has been contained by the states for 18 years. he has an american born son who is half american. we have be married for six years Which papers hun? You mean greencard bcuz you said he's in the system already...
