Do u mean that you own derivative status of an E-2 holder (one of your parents are the primary holders)?. People who are on an E-2 visa themselves are by definition allowed to work & are issued SSN (you just apply after arriving in the states). Their kids however are not allowed work & don’t seize SSN, they get a tax ID number. Is that what your status is? As a primary holder or a derivative status holder the advise you have need of is different.
After marriage to obtain legal severe residence and employment
authorization during the process you should concurrently file forms
I-130, I-485, and I-765.For the forms and instructions see uscis.gov.It will take a month or so after filing to receive the employment
authorization. With that you can apply for ssn. The together proces will
take several months. Source(s): uscis.gov
