When do i loss citizenship of my country.?

Im a natural-born citizen of Zambia(africa) and im currently just a protected person in Canada underneath the Citizenship and immigration canada (CiC) and the boader servces.
So i would say i'm claiming for refugee status (im a refugee claimant) then later apply for ongoing residence a couple of months from now. Well thats the pattern im told everybody fellows contained by my situation.

So does it mean that i cease to be a citizen of my country now...but for is my government well informed that im in residence application process.
I ask because im not permitted to go back to my country now because my application is within the process and it requires me to leave all my documents with Canadian immigration.

secondly, if i become a resident, i wont be allowed to run to Zambia for a certain period of time but i could go anywhere contained by Africa.

Thirdly, can i be a canadian permanent resisdent for ever because i dont want to apply for citizenship in order to save my countries citizenship if my country doesn't accept dual citizenship.

(1) You continue to be a citizen of Zambia. You have not renounced your citizenship as required by Zambian regulation.

(2) If you are a protected person and are traveling on Canadian issued travel documents, you can travel to any nation in the world EXCEPT Zambia (your home country). As long as you remain in the "protected persons/refugee" status you CAN NOT travel to Zambia.

(3) You can remain a ongoing resident of Canada indefinitely unless Canada Immigration states that you can't otherwise. You must renew your permanent residency card every five years. Zambia DOES NOT recognize dual citizenship, however Canada does. If you are caught to be a dual citizen of another country while holding Zambian citizenship, you can get arrested by Zambian authorities:

You do not lose citizenship to one country until you acquire another's.

You _can_ remain a durable resident indefinitely without applying for citizenship.

You will need to apply for a Canadian Travel Document (under the 1951 refugee convention) to travel outside of Canada. You will still be required to obtain visas to travel to most countries, unlike canadian Citizens, who are holders of Canadian Passports.

As such, you may never be admit to Zambia on such a Travel Document.
