The Dream act has nothing to do beside military members holding green cards. Those legal residents have a trail to citizenship. It would be a dishonor to those men and women to award amnesty to illegals. I hope not! children do not belong in the military!
Development, Relief and Education for Alien Minors Act
The green card holders already have that opportunity. It's been that way for years. The so call "Dream Act" had nothing to do with green card holders and the military. Get your facts right. The "Dream Act" be a failed attempt to try to sugar coat amnesty for illegal aliens who have be here a long time -- in other words rewarding them for being good at breaking the imperative. Any permanent resident can join the military (if they fit the criteria, of course!). My (then almost 18 year old) son have to sign up for selective service in order to get his residency, and joining the military is already a course to fast-track Citizenship.
As an Army Veteran, I am in favor of allowing those who want to be fast-tracked to citizenship to join the service and I salute respectively and every one.
the dream act had nil to do with Mexicans joining the U.S. Military...Mexican nationals can and do serve in our armed forces and it is and other has been a legal process to gain citizenship A Green Card,a'int has nothing to do with a Iraq character of War!Does it?
