I contemplate immigrants should be able to enter the country. I don't think it's okay for them to break the statute, but I'm sure they balance the risks vs. the rewards before entering the U.S. I know that f I were surrounded by Mexico and considering entering the U.S. illegally, I can't say being charged near a civil infraction and the relatively minor threat of deportation would be a deterrent.

Nope. My family moved here from Ireland LEGALLY when I was 13, never standard any form of welfare, and are doing great. I am now a special education teacher beside my own children. If my family can come legally, so can they.

No, it's not okay. Immigration laws are specifically created to be followed by foreigners. Coming over here is a privelege not a right.The least they can do is follow those laws.
