i work in a restaurant and in order to own a cook get a green card i have to prove that their is not an american that can do the job
i go through it so i no this to be fact
and it takes over 10 years to actually procure a citizenship
If you are talking something like the early 1900's, they were denied mostly because of health reason. If you had a minor limp or cough or anything you were denied. They be sometimes also denied because they didn't have any family members here.
But...
If you are discussion about the present, most of them aren't denied. The only way you're denied is: have a criminal record, or came here illegally.
You're kidding right? No one is excluded access to the United States. Any asshole can just walk in.
