Can a Illegal Immigrant become a Dental Hygienist?
I really would like to become a Dental Hygienist but i do not know if i would be able to since Dental Hygiene is a health profession. Is here any time during school or when the state liscense you that requires you to be a legal resident? I know i might not be able to get hold of a job after i get my degree but i would at least possible try to get my education and my liscense to be a Dental Hygienist. My dream is to become a Dentist but Dental Hygiene seems close to a good start. If not i might have to do something else.
Please, i know i'm illegal but give support to me out if you know anything.
I live in Dallas Texas aiming towards Collin County School of Dental Hygiene or Baylor School of Dentistry.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. i am not indocumented but my visa expired if that help in any way. Hoping i could become legal surrounded by the future or if the DREAM Act gets approved. I know most Americans hate Illegals but i've live here since i be 11 and really do not know much of my native country but if i have to go spinal column one day i would at least like to hold a degree in the field that i want, Thanks.

I think you would have to legally live surrounded by the U.S. to attend a school for dental hygiene. Can you renew your visa?
I don't hate illegal immigrant.
Good luck.
Here in california we need to get hold of livescans for CNA, RN and dental hygene programs (just to get into the program) and unless you have a social you can't get that done (so you can't obtain into the program) so You should find out if you need that first of all!
As for getting a job if you be to get through the program, I think you will have some problems...
And yes you are here illicitly, but you are called an 'overstayer' - which is when you enter LEGALLY (like you, on a visa) but overstayed (whether it be 2 days or 20 years).
You mentioned that you're visa expired... that make you undocumented (illegal) since you're still residing here without any permission from the gov.
Having said that...you can definitely study here until you bring your degree, sadly you will not be able to bring back any money from the gov. (e.g. loans, grants, & financial aid). When dealing with money the best advice I can make a contribution you is to start searching and applying for all sorts of scholarships available for students. There are millions of dollars lately sitting there waiting for people to find it; people of different background, age, interests, etc. Many scholarships don't require you to have any sort of documentation so you can try to get some money through near.
Once you graduate and get your degree you will most likely not know how to get any sort of job since you will not have any style of work permit. When it comes to that my advice to you is to become highly live when in college/university. Volunteer at certain Dentistry offices and take acquainted with people who are in matching business you want to get into for they might be able to help you out when it comes to dealing near your immigration situation. If you proof yourself as a good student/intern at the profession you are studying then they can see the potential you might have and donate you a job and through them you can get either a work visa or even residency. Trust me, why would any employer or even the gov consent to go of someone they've been teaching for years to receive good money for another country. In the end this country will be the one making a good amount of money past its sell-by date of you through the taxes you'll be paying.
I wish you the best of luck! ^_^
You can definitely get your degree.
I don't know just about the state license. It might depend on the state. But I don't think it would matter.
Getting a job, unsurprisingly, will be a different story.
become a dental hygenist contained by your OWN country!!
illegal immigrants can do everything they want in our country
i don't think getting a degree surrounded by dental hygiene is a problem, as long as you have enough fund to cover your tuition with no financial aid. getting the livelihood afterwards is a problem, as you mention that your visa expired.
