Immigration - spousal visa?

i'm in the process of sponsoring my spouse as an immigrant here in Canada. i'm really concern about my present employment, i've have the same job for 1 yr and 7 months. i feel close to if i get a different job and start from the beginning, after i won't be as stable as i am now or i'm not good enough as a sponsor.. i'm only just not happy with my job anymore. would that affect my application as a sponsor contained by anyway? please advise..

not sure about the laws contained by Canada but when we filed here in the USA first time he was US Navy, next filed again he was driving trucks and by the time it came to the interview for the final trademark of approval he was working for the post office, they don't seem to be that bothered going on for the whole actual job thing more that you will know how to support here, but that said make sure you have really done with the opportunity you are in before you leap else where the post market is pretty grim right now.
Has your application for sponsorship already be approved? If not, I would sit tight and wait. If they have already approved the sponsorship application then dance ahead and make the move. Hopefully, this job is not for less $.
Be advise that you are required to notify CIC in writing any time something on your application changes. This includes your job. You must e-mail any new info to the case processing center where your covering is being reviewed. Be sure to put your case/file number on any correspondence you send in and also preserve a copy for yourself. Source(s): PR in Canada
The sponsorship approval takes about 7 weeks. Once you are approved as a sponsor, walk ahead. You don't have to meet income requirements to sponsor a spouse so that is one entry you don't need to worry about. Source(s): http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/index.asp
