How can I shelter my stance on immigration?

I'm doing a panel discussion in my speach class on illegal immigration. What would be a great response to: "Illegal immigration is unfair to those who get here legally"
Answers:
The best defense is to look at the positions the opposite stance will use in their offense.

1: illegals don't cost us anything

defense points: translators, free education to children,
dispatching of emergency services, accident
involving uninsurred illegals, aid offered to illegals and
their children.

2: they do the work no one else will

defense: most of these jobs would be done by citizens
if the pay be adequate. People who use
the above reason are basically cliché that we
should keep them around to take advantage
of them, and should be ashamed of
themselves.

these sorts of things. Personal stories might relieve also (your own or others, whichever applies ) .

For your specific argument you might consider the point that the presence of the illegals increases inter-racial tensions and makes it that much more likely that trial immigrants suffer from prejudice in turn.

I also imagine near is a certain tension that legal immigrant suffer as they are expected by the illegals to support their criminal (it is a crime to be -illegal-) activities, and the vilification they suffer when they refuse to support illegals... though I am only guessing such exists from what I know of human moral fibre

These of course are just a few ideas, but really the underlying defense should other be made in anticipation of what your opposition would say, and how they would want to undermind what you believe
Illegal immigration is unfair to those who took the time and trouble to receive here legally because those that took the time had to wait years contained by line, with no guarantees and have to be capable of show a knowledge of the USA's laws, language, etc - illegals cross the border or overstay their visas, and don't dawdle in any lines, think they are owed something, don't want to assimilate or learn English, are merely here for the money and freebies. Illustrate it is unfair by using this analogy -
You are waiting forever in line at six flags - you enjoy saved forever to get in and want to relish all of the fun and excitement six flags offers - but hey, wait - a bus of 100 other kids shows up, and walk right in, didn't pay for tickets, and gets to relish six flags, while you remain outside, waiting for your chance to get in. And since that other 100 go in, the park is slower about letting ticketholders in since nearby are long lines on the rides (jobs) -
Get it?
Just walk up to the front of the class, pound your fist on the podium and yell out, "THOSE GODDAMN MEXICANS!" and then clutch your seat ... case closed, son!
Here's an example.
I am entered into a 5 mile see. I trained hard for this race, did everything I was supposed to such as cram out the registration forms, paid the fee and went through my physical. These things took relatively a bit of time and energy.
I'm now in the see and overcame hurdles along the way. Out of nowhere, someone runs in from a side street and jumps into the see 1/4 mile before the finish line, pulls ahead of me and wins the see. I've done everything I was supposed to yet someone who didn't follow the rules wins within the end. Is this fair?
Why should people who didn't follow the rules win the see ahead of those who did.
If you really want to sound coherent about your position about against the law immigration. You need to say that the problem is not the undocumented worker it is the people that hire the undocumented workers. That is why this problem is so big. You will never win the argument if you really do not bring the certainty that this problem exist because the businessman, managers, owners hire this people. There IS no response, because that statement is TRUE. People who immigrate legally habitually have to wait in their own poor, politically screwed-up countries for many years for the legal ok to come here. For illegals to just show up, short filing the proper paperwork, paying the fees involved, subjecting themselves to criminal backgound checks and health checks is not fair to adjectives those who do.

That guy up at the top doesn't know what the hell he's talking about. That situation is about a man hiring populace for whatever wages THEY AGREE TO WORK FOR. It is NOT a statement about immigration.

The problem is the unconstitutional alien AND the greed chump that hired them, not just the employers.
Punish the criminals, the illegals themselves. Money

Money for visa's
money for bank portrayal
money to prove they'd return
a skilled job waiting
a relative that could petition without greasing palms with thousands and still getting turned down
Time to hang around family not desperate

Just a few
The correct response to that statement is "yes it is". Early in the morning, a man hires someone to help him work his field. They agree on $150 for the day.

Three hours later, he realizes he requirements more help. Another man comes by, and he offers him $150 to help him for the rest of the light of day.

The first hired man complains. He thinks that's unfair. Why should the other man get equal amount of money for less work?

The man's response that he is keeping his deal with the first man, and that the second man get a better deal doesn't hurt him at all. If the deal be fair to both parties before the second man arrived, it is still carnival afterwards.

Illegal immigration may give some people who break the law a better buy and sell than some people who obey it. That may be unfair within general, but it is not specifically unfair to the people who come here legally -- they still got the deal they signed up for, and if they didn't conjecture that was fair, why did they come?

Those who came here properly complaining about illegal immigration as specifically unfair to them are newly like the man hired first who complains that someone else is getting a better deal. His deal is still only as good as it was before, the other person's better accord doesn't make his worse.
