Serious Question: I am an American who desires to live and work contained by the UK for the rest of my life span.?
What's the best way to accomplish this? I am a uni-educated, certified Project Manager (PMP) with a lot of IT and Business experience. I enjoy a wife and two dogs (who I love like children) I have been to the UK heaps times and my heart tells me that this is where I'm supposed to live. To be upfront, I don't care something like the weather, taxes, house prices, etc. I care about living in a place that I perceive most at home. I have always identified with UK culture since I be a child. I am not your typical "Ugly American" - I was raised by a father who gave me international exposure at a massively early age. My wife and I have discussed this and she is on board. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) here within America and is very talented at her profession. For those of you who feel as though that I "antipathy America" - that couldn't be further from the truth. I don't hate America and I'm not moving "away from America" but rather I am "moving to the UK" because my soul belongs there. Thanks.

First of adjectives I suggest you check your family background. If you have a grandparent who come from any EU country you should investigate whether you can acquire a second nationality from that nation. I am an Irish citizen by that reason and can work in any EU country as result.

For the Tier 1 Highly Skilled Immigrant program, it sounds like you would quality as is, your wife could also qualify if she were to ratify the requirements for an International CPA. I used their calculator and found I had no difficulty amassing enough points to qualify based on a Master's amount in Management and having made a substantial salary ($75K) contained by the past. You have to show English proficiency and have ample money to pay for three months is country upon arrival. With all that you can get a visa and look for work, and eventually gain durable residence. You can eventually apply for citizenship (without losing your US citizenship) if you like.
HOWEVER at this time only people contained by India can apply from outside the UK. They will expand the program in the summer. So the key is to apply from inside the UK.
Of couse you could hire one of the companies that offer to comfort you qualify, but I suspect with your background you can find someone who wants to hire you and will assist you do it free. And indeed, you could probably put together a successful application yourself.
Finally, the dog thing... well, they quarantine dogs for six months on importing them into the UK, so be prepared ...

Best to contact the closest British Consulate though. just stop being a twat, it's too flattering...turn to the British embasy in DC, they'll tell you everything you need...be sure to convert to pounds when the dollar significance is highest
