If you are pissed rotten next to immigrant and overseas appointment centre why dont you stop using that business?

Most British companies now use overseas call centre.So you may think you are phoning the high street,but a person
within India answers the phone.The thing what pisses me off,is when they ring me and can not pronouce my name. Call centers overseas don't use immigrant. They use citizens of their own countries.

I like immigrants. I'm cheesed at illegal aliens.
Immigration and phone centres are two different issues.

Some companies now make a point of providing call upon centres in the UK, and advertise this, as it will return with them more customers.

I don't buy in to the hysteria about immigrants, closely of it is hyperbole whipped up by the Daily Mail. Some immigrants are good, some are doomed to failure. Big deal.

Oh, and giving me a thumbs down doesn't make me any less right.
My main problem with them is that some bloke surrounded by Bangalore has no idea about your predicament surrounded by a country 6000 miles away. Never mind the language!
Alot of the "anti" is veiled racism. I don't use such services anyway, as the economic policy of this country has departed me jobless and penniless.
I'm not pissed sour at legal immigrants. They work hard. It's the evil ones that need to go and do it right.

Some legal immigrant cut my grass. I know they are legal because I asked for documentation before I hired them. And I tip them WELL. The owner was glad I asked for the documentation. He said he is freshly against the illegals as anyone else and its not right they get any business from Americans.
I see people are getting the legal and illegal entity wrong again. Who decides who is legal, the EU. We have too masses legal immigrants let alone the unjust ones. Im not just having a pop at the polish, the australians are here for similar shallow reasons.
so plentiful companies use overseas call centers now it would be rather difficult to stop using them. and its not immigrant people are pissed off at, its the illegal ones that come into the country criminally and refuse to speak English. what about all those official people that come in and try to do it correctly and not break the law. its resembling a slap in the face to all of them Sometimes you're not aware that the company you hope services from are outsourced overseas. If you're not comfortable dealing with a customer service agent from a country other than the United States, maybe you should switch companies. I strongly agree near this question.
Unfortunately its getting to a situation where on earth finding a business which doesn't use immigrant labour or overseas callcentres is nigh on impossible.

I know I stopped calling the bank on a weekend because I kept getting Indian callcentres whose staff didn't understand what I be saying and didn't seem to have a clue how to aid. Barclays are the worst for this. I'm now with Natwest and I use their online banking fairly than battle with someone who can't understand me!

I will enunciate this for Sky though - although they are a bit of rip off, whenever I call them on a weeked I get through to a nice agreeable Scot! Its so great to hear a fellow-UK accent and speak to someone who actually understands English, lol! Well done Sky.
Good within theory, but given that virtually every company in the UK is now owned by overseas companies, I mull over I might have problems... If you are all pissed off next to immigrants then i suggest YOU ALL STOP VOTING LABOUR INTO POWER TIME AFTER TIME AFTER TIME. What do you bloody expect??
Most of the very large businesses (Hewlett Packard, Dell, Chrysler) hold call centers in India.

I've been at my career for over 5 years and it's being outsourced to Pune, India in the fall.

The problem is: North American companies are trying to be competitive near each other and their worldwide counterparts. To keep pricing at a minimum, they have to preserve spending to a minimum. Why pay a North American $10 - $15 per hour when you can pay 25% of that (like 4 employees for one price!)?

It's charitable of ironic since everyone is chanting: Out of a job yet?? Keep buying foreign and you will be!

Those drastically companies are now outsourcing to keep THEIR costs down..just as consumers chose to buy products that kept their own costs down.
