Why does America not obtain more immigrant from Europe and Japan??
I basically see that if 90 percent of the 15 million or so illegal immigrants come from south america, and these politicians want amnesty for lawbreaker so bad, why don't we just try to say smaller amount legal immigration from their countries and more from europe, japan and china?? I believe that true diversity would be immigrants from all over, not newly one region of the country. I believe ultimately we need to help Mexico help their own general public because America has enough at 300 million and cannot continue to give somebody a lift 182,000 of their people every month for 50 more years. Anyway why not petition politicians for more european and asian immigrants?? At least next to China and India we may be importing scientists and engineers and not just poor laborers.

i agree with cheese49 the biggest reason is most European and Asian countries have well-mannered economies and the people are happy and do not want to depart.
Plus a lot of European countries are welfare states they take good diligence of their citizens
Well, we necessitate laborers to sustain our agricultural and public works needs. People don't come from most European countries and Japan because things are good there, better than surrounded by US, espacially health care and education. We already hold max amounts of immigrants from China and India every year. umm, we receive around 50k chinese immigrants almost every year, which ranks 2nd most immigrant (right behind mexico).
Oh and "ASIA" isn't doing better than the US, "ASIA" is if truth be told the 2nd poorest continent on earth, right next to africa. But since it's so far away, it's hard to enter US criminally.
Why would they want to come here? And even if they did once they realized how many risky mexicans were here they would change their mind and who could blame them! Most are from Mexico, Dear.

That's because those coming over in droves are coming over illegally. If only legitimate immigrants were tolerated, it would be much more fair for immigrant around the world. The biggest problem is that the majority of asian immigrants do it legally. It's not easy to border submerge an ocean.

There are too many Mexicans coming here unlawfully. Europe and Asia are doing better then us. Why would they want to come over here?
Europe and Japan has a higher standard of living afterwards the U.S. We don't get very many from these areas.
We go and get the poorer immigrants whose countries have a very subpar living standard and wage scale if you can find a job at all. that certainty and the fact that we have no secure borders contained by the U.S. , plus the fact that our welfare system allows them to participate in it short being a citizen .We are one of the few countries that do this.It is a matter of time and our America will not exist any more. The immigrants will be contained by the majority and will pass all laws to favor them. We've have it! Like many ppl says there is a better time in Europe and Japan. Their health care and instruction are the greatest unlike in America, where most people can't differentiate between 'than' or 'then'. I m not sure more or less Europe trade deficit/surplus but Japan and Germany, they have surplus.

The reason we (America) do not collapse b/c we hold such a huge consumer market.

Average american is so much in debt but alas we still choose to live like that. we r spoiled we dont even bother to shut our car engine while pumping the gas. But you won't see such things within Europe/Japan. Although, the average European/Japan find other mean of their commute like subways and bicycles.
Conclusion: Despite all this flaw, the Americans are better surrounded by person (besides some scumbags), friendly, less ignorant, more tolerance similar to any other part of the world.
so I choose to stay in America.
