Is it a refuse of time and money for immigration advocate contained by the usa?
i have a friend and shes from jamaica shes been here for 4yrs ..she has a 4yrs aged child in the usa.. her reason for overstaying was that the doctor told her she couldn't travel during her pregnancy she be in the hospital for 1 month (baby born premature). shes now with a guy for 2yrs and he is going Thur a divorce process 1yr back she met him which is taking for ever. now hes thinking about getting a lawyer for her,.. since its be so long does it really make sense to get a lawyer? buy the track she came here with a valid visa, and is still valid she just over stayed the six months they give her. so did it work for any one to get a lawyer? please help! and if he boy friend could support her beside any thing would that help??

I have personal experience near USA immigration lawyers and personally i think they don't do much for that they charge. they lately fill out forms for you. they cant speed up the process of influence it. If you can read in English go to USCIS website http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis and you will find adjectives the required forms and all the supplement information on how to fill them. Or just phone up them. this way i saved 1000s of $. And I have my Green Card.
It doesn't situation how long you stayed in USA illegally 3 months or 10 years are the same.
The single thing that matters is that she came to the country officially and didn't commit any crimes while in USA
But she overstayed the period of allowed stay(and it doesn't matter that that her Visa is still valid) so she have to leave unless she gets married to USA citizen.
If she leave s immediately she will get banned from USA for 5-10 years.
So if she loves her boyfriend she should get married near him.
That is the only option for her

Very much so indeed. With the ones at S.P.L.C. any way which is where on earth the most of my Information on Immigrations come from. They have won many Lawsuits against I.C.E. and other Government Agents as well as big Companies resembling Del Monte Produce that does nothing but Harm Immigrants and Threaten them with Deportion if they Complain about human being Cheated out of their Earnings.
