Canadian Immigration 1009 days and still counting?
HI All,
I applied to immigrate to Canada in August 2005, in March 2008 my e-cas changed from in process to verdict made... but I haven't done any medicals... i am still waiting to hear from Canadian High Commission on the decision... its been 2 months since the status progress... Has my application been rejected?

HHHMMMM/?? my immigration to Canada to almost 4 years to complete but once my e-cas status changed I knew within days that I be accepted. I received a letter in the communication from Immigration Canada with my instructions. This does sound strange. However, don't fret. I did have trouble beside the processing and my husband contacted his Member of Parliment who called immigration on our behalf to find out what the problem was. We got our answer (my medical be lost!) and then we could fix it instead of just waiting to hear from the governnment. Do you have a sponsor/?? Get them to their MP and capture some answers.

and what country are you applying from?
some countries can take up to 6 years to be processed, so 6 years from 2005 means you MIGHT be waiting until 2011. please be tolerant.
And do not rely on the e-Cas. Immigration officers are not required to update them, and quite a few of them never do.
I had my e-Cas sitting as "within process" for 5 years while my immigration application was being processed. I strongly suggest that you do NOT check it every day nor every week any. Once a month is sufficient.
Assuming you did apply under skilled worker category - below is the application processing times for that category and how how long the various visa offices are CURRENTLY taking. You will necessitate to scroll down to the country/city processing your application.
you would only have a sponsor if you married a Canadian.

Is it difficult to acquire US f2 visa? What are the guidelines?
I believe that a F2 visa is given only to dependents of students who have F1 visas. I don't think you can apply for a F2 directly, unless your spouse have F1.
