Will your connubial status affect the processing time of petitioning a relative?
I'm about to get married and also in the plans of petitioning my Mom for a green card here within the US. Does your marital status make a difference in jargon of processing the petition? Is it easier if you're single or married? How long does it normally take before the petition is granted? Thanks severely much!
Answers:
Being married or not will not change the processing time of your mom's green card. You just have to know how to show that you are willing and able to sponsor her.
Marital status doesn't make 'any' difference surrounded by the processing of the petition, so without any hesitation you can make a petition for green card of your mother. The authorities look into your income which must be above 'poverty line' to be exact decided every year. The figure, generally is around or more than 40000 Dollars of your annual income.
