Does anyone know if I can withdraw an affidavit of support for an applicant of a green card?
this affidavit was required by the immigration services for the person to get his green card ( residency surrounded by US) . can i take it back or cancel it ? this human being got his two year temporary green card.

if you are married then do not be in motion to the interview for the permanent green card, do not sign anything that supports that the marriage is still going strong, and they will be denied a permanent GC.
if you are not married, next I dont think you can do anything.
not unless you are the primary petitioner.and if so, when you do that he will lose his green card and then be deported.if you are a co-sponsor then i dont believe so.check out this site for more information

Affidavit of Support
The form used by a Sponsor to allow an immigrant to qualify for the green card. All ancestral immigrants must have a sponsor execute and submit an Affidavit of Support.to show that the immigrant is not likely to want welfare or other public payments. The Sponsor signing the Affidavit of Support (Form I-864) is obligated to repay support benefits received by the immigrant for up to 10 years and even a divorce does NOT end the obligation.
unfortunately you can't. the lone ways you can get out of this obligation is when the person become a citizen, dies or leaves the country (and therefore abandon his residency). otherwise, you're stuck.
you should have looked into it more up to that time you signed up for this obligation.
There are only a few ways out of it....
1. You die.
2. The immigrant dies.
3. The immigrant leaves the USA.
4. The immigrant becomes a US citizen.
5. The immigrant works 10 years while paying into Social Security.
