The current interview for a first uk passport any suggestion please read and aid?
my friend is wanting to get a passport but has a few questions, he be born and lived in the uk all his life, he have filled out the form and about to send it past its sell-by date but wants a bit of advice,
he has put down his mums christen date of birth and her passport number down on the form but has left his dad blank, he hasnt spoke to his dad in over 15 years, his dad used to misuse him his mum and sister, his dad does have a passport tho, would he have to fill that out or is it ok to set out it blank?
also he is not on the electorol role, he dosnt think, he has moved about relatively a bit buit always left his mail going to his ex partner house as they are still friends, he moved out of her house 5 or 6 years ago and has been in rented rooms, lodgings and purely staying around friends houses, does he need to know all the dates and address he has been at? since then he have never been put on the electorol role, but he did have to do jury service about 5 years ago, the missive went to his exs house and he attended and did that so does that mean he would still be on the electorol roll at her house?
also he cant prove where he have been staying as 1 of the rented rooms he was in the owner of the house sold the house and dosnt know how to contact them in a minute, and the other rooms were cash in appendage rent each week
do you think he will have a problem getting a passport or do you not entail to prove your address?

First of adjectives it is not necessary to put the father's details unless this information establishes that your friend is entitled to UK citizenship as a result of his father's nationality. If both parents are British, then this doesn't apply, he ned individual put his mum's details.
The only address your friend needs to put is his current one. If he's not on the electoral roll at his current address, they may ask him to bring proof of address to the interview. This could be his driving licence, bank narrative statement, council tax bill, gas, elec or phone bill. Something official that has be posted to him at that address. If they require further proof they will tell him what he needs to produce.
You can apply on line - connection below, or fill in all the forms and dispatch off the required documents. The best way to do this is to take it to the Post Office and transport it using their Check and Send service. This will ensure that he has filled in everything correctly and that everything he should convey is included. Shortly after sending the application, he will be contacted with a date and venue for the interview.
This is nothing to worry in the order of. He is legal and entitled to a passport. It's a process to prevent people acquiring a passport illegitimately. So tell your friend to relax.
