Why are folks who aren't even English call WASPs?
I've noticed how Americans call German-Americans and Franco-Americans Anglo Saxon Protestants, should such a designation be reserved only for Americans of English start?
After all, true Americans like Benjamin Franklin didn't want the Germans and French emigrating, it be to be an Englishman's land.

technically that designation should be reserved only for white family of British ancestry and who are protestant - such as ME.
3/4 of my great grandparents were born in UK. they all emigrate to other countries - NOT including the USA.
There is just one problem. I am not longer pretestant. I married a catholic and I do not observe any religion now at adjectives. So strictly speaking I am a WAS - not a WASP.
I still do not live in the USA.

When they formed the country the nation's vote for English as our language be won by one vote. The language that came in second be German. So Ben liked Germans but he loved the French.
