Does anybody believe that the unsanctioned immigration situations of the US and UK are comparable?

Yes, I totally agree. Come in legally, don't menace our society, integrate, and then we don't enjoy a problem
In the sense that nearby is a lot of illegal immigration in both countries, unconstitutional immigrants are granted certain privileges, and a lot of dubious immigrants in either country seem to be to demand the rights of citizens, or at least become indignant about anyone expecting that the law be applied.
Other than that, they are probably very different. It's hard to walk across the border into the UK, for one article.
I imagine its more of a problem in the US but it is still a big problem in the UK!
Danny - ways which relations sneak into Britain illegally include:
* stowing away in trucks coming over the channel from France - here are camps full of itinerant illegals who hang around outside Calais and other major European ports, trying to sneak into lorries etc which are bound for the UK and the French do nought to stop them, tbh they encourage them to get them out of France! Thousands get through this route from various ports in continental Europe. We have immigration officer stationed at all the major ports who search the lorries but individuals still get through - they have often compensated lots of money to very clever/devious people smugglers who know all the ways to outwit the immigration officer
* coming here on a study/visitor visa and then not leaving when it expires.
* coming here on other types of visas such as spouse or fiancee and overstaying.
* fake passports. Anyone from the EU can come here and work rightfully, so if you are from a non-EU country all you need is a fake/stolen EU passport and you're in.
* claiming asylum and consequently absconding.
Granted its not as "easy" for them as it is in America, where they simply sneak over the border but they still manage it as illegals are a major problem in the UK. When they are caught adjectives they have to do is claim "asylum" and hey presto, they get free housing, free food, free healthcare, free everything. All paid for by the Great British Taxpayer aka Johnny Sucker.
A little bit The U S have a different mind set than the U K In the U K it is understand you must retreat when attacked in fact they can even ask you within court ''Why you did not withdraw from the situation?'' That would not happen in an American court My point is when the time comes.and it is coming for mass deportation it powerfully be easier and faster in the U S

Yes they are. They are both full of illegals living off the working man.
I don't understand how they get there within the UK. Do they swim the English Chanel? Does your government not do a good job beside passports and enforcing travel laws? In America the majority of the illegals cross over a shared 1500 miles of border in the South and a few cross almost a 3000 mile border surrounded by the north. They come here to work at or below the Federal Min wage and employers seek them out for the cheap illegal labor. Half of our country is bleeding heart or the rich employers, who think because they are poor we should feed, house them, and provide medical services even though we enjoy spent a trillion dollars to modernize their home economy since NAFTA began. The Employers can pay even lower wages within states with large welfare pools of cash and unforced qualifing.
It's not only the Trillions lost in jobs to Mexico, the trillions spent within welfare to sustain them because they will not work for fair market wages to undercut the legal blue collar worker, or the cynical wage growth this decade in blue collar work. Its the attitude of the people who think they own the American Southwest, which be ceded to us in WAR. If Mexico wants it stern bring an army and take it. The sad part roughly speaking it is the people suffering the most and paying for it all is the American Blue Collar middle class worker.
In California the state has 12% of the society and 35% of all welfare payouts in America. It started when illegal immigration did. CA go from the 2nd largest Economy in the world on it's own to the 5th in 2008 and I bet lower in 2009. The state grant amnesty and refuses to let police deport or arrest them. The welfare reciepants have job but still get government handouts for several reasons I explained previously which include but not mentioned: working for cash, seasonal employment, and working on fake name. If you guys accross the pond are having these problems then yes it is the same.
