What do Americans assume of Canadian immigrant?
I'm wondering what Americans' opinions are on Canadian immigrants (legal and illegal). Most people I've talk to see nothing wrong with them, yet I hear abundantly of Americans bashing on immigrants in nonspecific.

I am a Canadian obtain from Vancouver working legally in LA for almost 8 years. Americans do not think of us at adjectives because unless we are Quebecois, no one can tell we are not regular Americans.
When I tell nation I am fron Canada, they think that is pretty cool and they say that they could enjoy never known if I had not told them. After all, we share a adjectives culture. Heck, night before last I saw the Kids In the Hall live at Caesar's Palace contained by Vegas and no one there seemed to know or strictness they were Canadian. it never came up. The only Canadianism be when Scott Thompson wore a baseball cap with a Nova Scotia flag printed on it.
Mad TV made jokes on Celine Dion closing night and did not say she was Canadian. The movie box bureau domestic take is reported on the news here in LA and the US domestic pinch includes Canada.
Really, the Americans don't notice us and we don't care care. It is no big traffic that LA is Canada's 5th largest city.
And I gave up the free health care, not because nearby was anything wrong with it. It's better than any US HMO. I came to LA because of the weather and so I could do world class work.

any illegal immigrant needs to be expelled.we have ways to come here rightfully.when i go to canada i am required proof of id.and a passport with a explanation of how long i will be in that.i like it there,but i would never live there because of it's political system.

Canadians are white, so even if they are here illegally or committing crimes, most Americans will forgive THEM.
They aren't prone to mooching off U.S. tax payers so that is appropriate. But, if here illegally, they need to go.

When Americans are bash immigrants, it's usually referring to one particular nationality, and it's not Canadians. Typically, Americans don't own any problem with Canadians coming here, because they usually don't cause any problems like a few other nationality do....
