Why is homeland protection stopping Sheriff Joe from doing his living?
Homeland security made Sheriff Joe release 10 illegal aliens because they have no other criminal store except by coming here illegally, what is your opinion of this?
They then put blame for release on Sheriff Joe, is homeland wellbeing setting Joe up? Why are they not allowing him to do his job?
Do you honestly believe these illegal aliens will show up at sheriff's office if they merely receive a letter to appear upon release?

Sheriff Arpaio releases tapes of deputies and ICE formal

MESA-- Sheriff Joe Arpaio is now in a public tussle with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, after saying the federal government ordered his deputies to release bent immigrants caught in his latest crime suppression sweep.
ICE official released a statement to ABC15 News, saying it was the Sheriff's decision to tolerate them go.
Arpaio held a press conference Saturday, where he released three audio tapes of conversations he said be between his deputies and an ICE official during the sweep, in which the official instructions the deputies to let illegal immigrants dance if they did not commit a crime other than entering the country illegally, or they did not have a documented criminal history.
Arpaio said of the 25 banned immigrants detained over the past two days, ten of those state charges brought against them, and had to be released as a result of those call.
In one of the recordings, the deputy asks, "Yay or nay whether I'm going to take him or not?"
The ICE official replies, "The only track we can do that is if he has a criminal history, either an arrest or conviction surrounded by the US, or he has state charges on him. If you don't have that, then the simply other option for 287G is to issue him one of those letters."
ABC15 obtained a copy of the reminder, which is an order to appear at the Sheriff's Office with documentation. Sheriff's deputies called the post, "ridiculous," saying there is no incentive for the people within question to show up.
Arpaio is under investigation by the Attorney General's Office in nouns to complaints of racial profiling, and said he does not approve of the federal government's decision to order him to release private immigrants if their only crime is crossing the border illegally.
Arpaio said he be supposed to continue operating under the terms of his prehistoric agreement for an additional 90 days, but that the Department of Homeland Security is forcing him to institute the change early.
But he said regardless of the federal government's unusual orders, he will continue his crime suppression sweeps under state law, and that he may even be able to use it to his advantage.
"It might be easier without have to be under the umbrella, with all their restrictions and policies," he said.

I for one want to know why illegals are not required to have any ID and the police are required to just accept any heading given to them. How does this work Americans must have ID when interacting with police but illegals mostly claim racial profiling and really do not enjoy to have any ID. This country is just self destructing
IF our Politicians would let those surrounded by the positions, like Sherrif Joe, our Border Patrol Agents, etc., ACTUALLY DO THEIR JOBS instead of putting up continuous road blocks, OUR COUNTRY would be much better off.
Sherrif Joe is playing b y the rule book, and ENFORCING OUR LAWS ON THE BOOKS. I am a strong backer of Sherrif Joe, and anyone resembling him.
napalilano and Sheriff Joe have been going at it for a long time. Sheriff Joe come out of the DEA so he is not a stranger to the processes. Napalitino has been pressing everyone button since she got at hand... I think Mr. Arpaio should back off and stay alive. It could bring expensive and it isn't worth it at this point for no other reason than that Napalitino probably won't do a second term.. not will Obama.

It is a misdemeanor to enter the US, illegally. I'd like to know how the Feds suggest they can prevent the Sheriff from enforcing those laws if he chooses to do so. Illegal immigration is not just a Federal problem. It effects every state surrounded by this Union. Every law enforcement agency needs to work together to stop it.

Homeland Security is not doing their duty. If Homeland Security made Sheriff Joe release 10 illegal aliens because they have no other criminal records except by coming here immorally then Homeland Security should have told ICE to simply obtain and deport these 10 unjust aliens. There is no court or further legal action needed to deport them. These 10 illegal aliens enjoy been already processed and identified as 10 illegal aliens.
As mentioned many times past it is UP TO ALL law enforcement agencies (local, county, state, and federal) to enforce federal laws. Sheriff Joe is doing his job.
Sheriff Joe cannot deport them because it is up to ICE. However, he can detain (because they hold committed a federal crime) them until ICE comes along and deports them.

In some cases, they give local law enforcement a very diminish window in which to assist them with immigration enforcement, however it is completely up to Immigration and Customs Enforcement or Border Patrol to want whom to detain and not detain. If Sheriff Arpaio holds illegal aliens without a valid detainer issued by the federal government, after HE is in violation of law. It's that simple.
If you don't approaching this, then you need to go to Congress and bring them to change the laws. But Sheriff Arpaio could end up losing the citizens of Maricopa County a full lot of money without good reason when he's sued.
