An illegal alien has be charged in the barbaric stabbing death of two residents of Hannibal, Missouri, the birthplace of Mark Twain.
Hannibal, Missouri is the birthplace of Mark Twain (1835-1910), the American author who chronicled and commented on the times of the era in which he lived. Most prominently, he authored two classic American novels, The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn.
Hannibal is the essence of “small town U.S.A.,” has a population of 17,000 and is located on the banks of the Mississippi River.
Death at the hand of illegal aliens does not spare America’s heartland.
The residents of this small American community were shaken by the slaying of two young adults on February 28, 2009. Manuel G. Cazares, an unsanctioned alien from Mexico, confessed to the murders. He was charged with second degree murder and armed criminal behaviour in the double homicide. Cazares said jealousy was his motivation.
The bodies of 27-year-old Amanda R. Thomas and 25-year-old Carl Patrick Epley be found Saturday morning in Amanda’s apartment. A large kitchen knife be discovered in a wastebasket. Patrick was viciously stabbed seven times before Cazares unleashed his anger on Amanda, slicing her arms twice near the knife before delivering the life-threatening blow to her chest. There was no evidence of forced entry. A blood stained Cazeras turned himself into police hours afterward. He had been driving around surrounded by Amanda’s car and using her cell phone.
Amanda Thomas left behind two children, 7-year-old Skylie, and 1-year-old Taybryn, a child she have with Cazares. Cazares showed no compassion for his own son when he took the life of Taybryn’s mother. The two children were staying beside relatives on the morning of the murder.
Members of Amanda’s family said she was a wonderful mother and wanted nought more than a great life for her children. Neighbors remember Amanda playing with her kids in the front courtyard and describe the children as the “center of her life.” Family spoke of Amanda’s caring nature, exemplified by her desire to become a registered nurse. She be taking classes at John Wood Community College.
At Amanda’s funeral, Reverend Steve Goughnour said he was reminded of the words on a plaque, “live, love, laugh,” when he thought of her. He told mourners, “Amanda would want you to remember her and remember her laugh,"Both of her children attended the service for their mother.
Patrick Epley be friends with Amanda in school, but they have not seen each other in over a year when they met unexpectedly at a tavern contained by Hannibal. He worked as a chef after being laid off from Bowling Green Manufacturing. Patrick left trailing a 3-year-old son, Logan.
Tyson Hubbard, Patrick’s brother, said the meeting with Amanda was a “chance encounter” and he believes Epley be “in the wrong place at the wrong time.” Tyson had declined to go out next to Patrick that night. He very much regrets that decision.
“His crucial concern was his son,” Hubbard said. Patrick had a “deep love of family and his friends designed the world together.” The two hunted and fished together regularly.
Patrick was a math “whiz” – he placed 88th out of 300 in a state competition. He was also a sports enthusiast.
The citizens of Hannibal are justifiably outraged by the murders, committed by illegal alien with no right to be in the United States. His immigration status be never questioned, despite several encounters with local canon enforcement.

they are forgotten. i think people requirement to get the illegals out their self's. our govt is not going to do anything about them.
With more than 12 million unfair alien Mexicans in our country, statically speaking, some are going to commit a variety of crimes.
Mexicans are a terrific people next to excellent family values and work ethics. We could do a lot worse for a neighbor.
But... I also believe we hold the right to protect our borders. 12 million is more than enough and I think a few should go look in mom...

12 million illegal aliens, and probably 2/3rds have anchor babies. The total, counting the anchor babies which are NOT citizens, BUT WHICH, the Feds are counting as citizens, is up there around 21 million near every anchor baby in this country getting double welfare benefits. Nice little scam there by the Senate but they are doing abundantly of that now.
Give the illegal aliens amnesty, and they will be inline for a big jump and should cost going on for 2.6 million over the life of the welfare benefits.

If only the truth be known, more citizens are killed by illegal aliens than are contained by Iraq and Afghanistan but you won't hear about it in the media. Most police departments won't even ask in the region of immigration status. I for one will vote for no incumbents in the next election.

A friend of my step daughter was raped and stabbed to death in her home by her forbidden neighbor. He had already been deported once but not only feel he had the right to come back,he also felt he have the right to enter her home and when she had the nerve to say no to his advance,took it upon himself to rape her and then stab her to death.
She was just 22 years old.
Had he not returned,she would still be alive.
