Your green card has nothing to do with you visit another country. Your green card just gives you permission to live and work contained by the US.
When visiting different countries, the country you wish to visit will cart into account what your country of citizenship is (ie, what country issued your passport). That will determine whether or not you can visit a certain country.

No. Your green card status single applies to the US. Your nationality is as per your passport and this is what is taken into account by every other country. The green card has no status outside the US.
