We are currently building a fence along the border between Mexico and the United States. The federal, and many state governments, enjoy been increasing funding to border patrol agencies and branches of immigration that deal with internal affairs as economically. These increases have been greater in percentage than those for proven research grants, education, NASA, or any individual social service. So it would seem the system is actually doing quite a bit, and at the expense of the American people I might attach.
Also just an aside, because NASA funding has been so low, my squad and I, who previously were engineers working on a NASA contract, got our contract canceled because the federal funding for it was cut. So I would approaching really really badly to see some of that money going to stop illegal immigration going to us. Especially since it is apparent that the American citizens don't really appreciate what that money is doing anyway since they still believe the government is doing nothing.
