The children of immigrant....?
I have been reading all these question regarding immigration and I could not help but ponder; what about the children of the immigrant family. Let me clarify. I recently discovered that a friend of mine is illegal and is suffering. Her family come to the United States 20 years ago when she was 3 or 5 years old and they haven't been competent to solve their legal status, and for some reason didn't tell her the immigration situation until she be 15 or 17. Her parents paid taxes through getting a TIN # I believe and said she couldn't get any financial aid for college. Therefore, she and her parents worked to help reward for her college tuition as a business management major with a minor surrounded by biology! Even with this type of education she cannot get a charge based on her legal status. She said she can't believe her parents didn't tell her and furthermore she refuse to go back to her country of birth. She says her home is within the USA because she was raised and educated here. She is such a smart charasmatic intelligent woman near a killer degree and yet she's working at restaurants and bar. This doesn't seem fair. She's gone to various lawyer and they've told her she cannot do anything until a law is passed that would allow her to get her greencard. My question to you adjectives is; is it fair that she should have to go through adjectives of this despite her being here for various years and paying taxes every year as well? What give or take a few the thousands of kids who have been here for years and call the USA their home; should they be deported?
Answers:
Yes, and they can blame their parents not our command. They're nothing more than "squatters".
Yes they should be deported, is it fair, no it's not fair that they hold illegally been here that long, it isn't fair that she have gotten an education here. blame their parents for making them criminals. The USA is not their home, she may refuse to go to her home country where on earth she belongs, but sooner or later she will be caught and deported. It does not matter if they have be here 1 day or 20 years they are still illegal criminals! Report and Deport!
You have touched on many of the most compelling reason to pass comprehensive, logical, and practical immigration reform. My wife is an illegal alien and, upon fixing her status, I plan to start up a special interest group that focuses on the type of stuff you mention.
Email me if you want. gknewton@yahoo.com
Knowing anothers country's law regarding arriving and living illegally within should own been their first priority. Now they want to blame the government. How classic.
Are you yourself aware that not every law written for every state contained by this country is the same? Just thought I'd ask.
What charitable of horrible person puts their kids in that situation, not a very flawless mother in my book.
the parents are to blame. near is a way to immigrate to this country legally, not over the fence.
You need to append "ILLEGAL" to the title of your question, there is a HUGE difference between and immigrant and an illegal alien.
We adjectives have a sob story, this lady is not above the law and I'm sure she think she is, many criminals have the same type of story as her, they are still criminals and call for to be punished.
We do not get to pick and choose what laws to obey because of our situation, that's not the mode it works.
She is here in violation of the statute. She knew that fact in time to return home and rectify the situation, and on the other hand chooses to continue violating the law. She and her parents cannot correction status because they violated the law. They are deportable and will be barred for 10 years.
There is no excuse for what her parents did, and there is no excuse for what she continues to do. She expects special treatment, special privileges because it's "what she requests." Tough. She utterly disdains one of the most cherished priinciples of the US, and the most important foundation of our entire system of justice: "no one is above the canon." She thinks she is above the law. It is eminently fair to arrest, detain, deport and lump her from re-entry. It is the only action that is do to all citizens, and to all those abiding by the law and waiting surrounded by line for admission.
It's not fair, but it's not our government's fault, but the parents for putting their kids surrounded by that situation. I do believe in passing a reasonable Dream work, but the liberals add a lot of extras on it that makes adjectives previous versions bad. We shouldn't punish the kid for what evil their parents did. On the other hand we should punish the parent. Some of the rules of the Dream conduct yourself I hated was that it allow the parents an easier way to become a resident. That would be rewarding them for something wrong they did. The other I don't resembling is that the student would only pay in state tuition. The other stuff also added be that there was a lack of a inevitability to proove they were here when they were young, and that near was an unusually high age limit to claim this exemption. Also the number of years the child lived here to claim the dream exploit was unusually short. It was basically amnesty within disguise.
Yes, anyone who is here illegally should be deported. The parents made the first mistake. She made a mistake in not attempting to rectify her status when she turned 18, possibly in consternation of exposing her parents' illegal presence here. Should she be rewarded for those mistakes? No.
Her intelligence would help her adapt to existence in her home nation and perhaps bring some improvement in attendance.
As for paying taxes, so do most other law-breakers, but that doesn't excuse their illegal actions.
As for a killer amount, we have some people who obtained master and doctorate degree in their home nations, came here justifiably and still cannot find work in their field. They are here legally and i.e. unfair.
MARK C,
Suppose you and kids are living in the streets (winter time. massively cold or summer time very hot, whichever you like more) and you see a house that nobody uses. You get contained by there to save you and your family. You nick care of the house (no, don't trash it). You live there for 20 years, the owner that never wanted to live within the house comes to sell the house and you can and want to buy it. The house is in good shape, nobody come to see the house in 20 years and you kept it in good shape, but the owner a short time ago kicks your *** out to the streets, how would you feel?
You just required to save your family and you love the house that protected you all these years, don't you?
Think almost it all the ones that don't see beyond their noses, but don't worry you are lone supposing you never been in that situation.
Let's say I broke into your vacation home in Florida and lived at hand for 20 years without you knowing it. (You have a couple vacation homes and never get around to staying there but paid mortgage, taxes, etc. on it every year.) Now you go down to vend your home and find the tresspasser living there. Do you kick me out and call the cops or do you verbs letting me stay there.
OKAY, you are a beeding-heart altruist. You let me stay.
But, supposing I have trashed your house so that it is merely worth half of what it was?
Suppose you need to market that house to pay for your baby's medical bills?
Suppose I tell you that since I have be living there for 20 years I basically own your house?
Getting mad nonetheless?
Suppose I tell you that (legally) you have to put my kids through college now. (The property taxes you rewarded already provided them with a first quality education).
A person who breaks into your house (or country) have no rights there.
Hey man, that's all me right near, I was brought here, across the border illegally, when I was four years ripened.I always knew I was banned though. I finished school here all the way from kinder garden to 12th category,I was even in AP classes, with a 3.4 GPA. My dad is a incredibly honest hard working man he was only making $5/hr when he brought me and my mom,and younger brother here, but since he be very hard working he soon learned the skills for concrete pen, and is now making $17/hr, so he has always provided for us, he even built us a 4 bedroom house, next to his own bare hands, something most US CITIZENS cant do.and he doesn't owe any money on it. So we have never lack any thing, and he has always incited me and my brother to get an education which is what we are doing. Now i am doing pre-med in college, and my bro is a Junior surrounded by HS, and he is the soccer and cross country star and most people around him didnt know he is illegally here. My family would be the All-American house but we didnt have our green card. I'm so sick and tired of all those racist people who assume all Mexicans are bad and drunks, we are hard working inhabitants looking to prosper here not hurt this great nation. Why would we want to hurt the country we want to live in. You know I think some Americans are jealous that they see that SOME MEXICANS ARE DOING BETTER THAN SOME WHITE OR BLACK PEOPLE(no offense). I be even in ROTC, and wanted to join the army but I can't for demonstrable reasons, I call this country home, and I will defend it if it comes to it. This is the best country ever and i want to hang on to it this way. I wish congress would come up with some bill that at least possible gave us, the ones who went to school, here a randomness to be here. I'm not asking for an amnesty, i know some Mexicans shouldn't be here , just as some white and black people shouldn't either, because they dint appreciate what they hold. But this country is all about rewarding hard work isn't it? after why not reward us. So I do think you're friends situation is unfair but we cant do nothing roughly it, the ON thing we could do is marry(not for money) some one that is here legally, that have been proposed to me but I want to marry for true love, I'm not a gold digger.
I believe the bright administration will pass a Comprehensive Immigration Reform Bill !
If you can't solve your legal status after 20 years, it's time to bring back out. What a sob story...boo hoo, She needs to be deported along with her family. With such a great lessons, she should be able to find a great job in her country of birth. No sympathy will be given here. She is a criminal of late being here illegally, no, deport her now.
If she has be in the United states for that many years
why not apply for the Resident Allien Status outright with
Homeland Security?
I am a permissible Resident Alien and could have gone for U.S.
citizenship after being a Resident Alien for 5 years and
living in the U.S. for the unharmed time.
I don't believe this bogus about getting kicked out of the
U.S. after that many years. Just go to the subsequent Home Land
Security office and explain the situation.
Does she have any siblings that were born contained by the U.S.?
or does she have a child that was born in the U.S.?
Those alone are sense enough for her to get a Green Card.
Of course there is other the obvious way. Get married.
Boo Hoo.Illegals should be deported.I have no sympathy at all.
