How can I live and work surrounded by the USA for my entirel duration short have a green card?(as a european engineer)?

Or what are some ways to get a green card other than green card lottery or marrying an American?

That is a fruitless idea.

In America laws are always varying from time to time.

You may be here for 20 years paying taxes then for no logical reason they can pass a decree that tell you that you have to go hindmost to your home with no rights.

No even thing about coming to the U.S short a green card. You would be going backwards in your life.

H1B makes you dependent own the single employer.

If you are a European your best shot is to stir back to school and maybe capture a Master or PhD in your area.

With that kind of nurture plus experience you may be able to get your green card much faster.
I like the process you inserted "european engineer" - as opposed to say, "Indian engineer" or "Mexican engineer"? :). You think you'll gain preferential treatment that way? :)

Apply like everyone else for a EB1 to EB5 visa (Working Visa) through the immigration system. A letter from a prospective employer will relief you to get a EB4 visa. If you are not qualified enough to get one, you can other emphasize your european origin and see how far that gets you.
US company can apply for your employment based Green Card.

Google "H1B visa"
To be here permanently you must own a permanent residence card. Best route for you is the H1B visa for employment.
