I enjoy a UK immigration cross-question....?
I am applying for me and my daughter. We are both us citizens my husband in english. So we are going to move to england. My quesiton is on the app for my daughter they ask for her father's name. Can I use her step-father's name? Because I own no idea where her bio dad is or if he's even alive. Neither names are on her birth licence just my name and her bio dad and I were never married. Should I lately leave it blank or put in his name
Answers:
No you should stuff the form in correctly, put the bio father's name in, even if he's not on the scene. If you don't flood the form in properly or miss out any information it could invalidate your application.
Legally speaking if you put his name on the form you WILL have to find him, and have him sign a rag giving you permission to take the child to the UK to live..OR..go since a judge and plead your case and ask for the courts permission to remove the child from the US. Without one of these, you will not know how to take the child to the UK if you put his name on the form.
I have a 15 yr matured daughter, and I am in the same boat as you. We would love to move back to the UK but we enjoy to figure out how to get her there.

Thank you Jennifer!
put the name, dont leave it blank
I would put his name down because he is your child's father- they may want to know his nationality etc, but if you don't know where on earth he is just put 'address not known' on the form, they should understand.
No, can come final to haunt you. Just because his whereabouts are unknown does not mean he is not the father. It would be a lie for you to put anything else. This is a serious vandalism.
Put the nickname of her bio father.
Belle is absolutely correct.
