Can my husband gain a social warranty number after delivery his employment authorization card?
Hi-- we think our immigration lawyer had told us that after we go and get the employment authorization card, we can go to a social security office, show them the card, and distribute out for his social security number. What is the proper procedure for this? Where do we need to go, and when (as when we received the card within the mail, the letter didn't give this information)?
Any give a hand you can provide us, we would greatly appreciate it.

Yes he can - and should.
You just travel to your *local* Social Security office and take the EAD and some ID. The SS card should take only a couple of weeks to arrive in the mail.

It sounds as though your husband already has a Social Security number and card, but now have been authorized to work? If this is the case, go to your local Social Security department with your documents from Department of Homeland Security and Social Security will change their records to show your husband is immediately authorized to work.
