So what exactly are evil immigrant taking?
I am a permanent resident and I can't get on any of these things that people regularly suggest immigrants are on (welfare, food stamps) should I rip my green card up and become an illegal. This doesn't seem to create since what exactly are the illegals getting that PR's and US citizens aren't?

Nothing! They try to come up with bogus statistics and scare tactics but it really simply boils down to white people being racist.
To answer your cross-question, as per you can see, those are only lies that are spread by hateful organizations because their intentions are singular to create hate. Illegal immigrants can't get those benefits for themselves.

58% of welfare payments are issued to illegal aliens
Over 43% of food stamps are issued to illegal aliens
41% of unemployment checks are issued to not permitted aliens
Nearly 60% of all occupants of HUD properties are illegal aliens
Etc.
Illegal aliens are know for committing crimes, 99% commit a felony inwardly 30 days of their immigration violation! Lying, committing fraud, identity theft, etc. are all in their scope!
Also why can't they collect benefits? Because it's illegal? Their being here is unendorsed! By that logic there are no illegal aliens because they can't be here because it is illegal! Let's try to contract in facts!
And for DJ check out the 10 commandments! Specifically the 10th one! I don't think sh1tting on Gods laws is going to brand name him happy! I doubt he died on the cross so illegal aliens could sh1t on his laws!

I wage property taxes so that schools can educate the children of illegals who do not own property, ergo do not pay property taxes. I pay cheque twice as much as I should be paying at the emergency room to cover indigent care funds for illegal aliens who march right into matching hospital and give birth to their babies for "free." I pay sales taxes so that unendorsed aliens can have driver's licenses, and I pay uninsured motorist premiums on my insurance policy so unofficial aliens can drive around with no insurance.
Is that enough for you, or do you want me to go on?
Illegals are not eligible to receive these benefits but as with almost any law loopholes exist and I would be lying to myself to think that no illegals take advantage of those loopholes.
The only other way I know of is for an unendorsed to have a baby that is a citizen and as that babies parent(s) can receive these benefits for their child(ren).
This logically is said without details that American citizens also take advantage of these loopholes.
