What is the nearest point from Edmonton to cross the USA borders for Permanent residence landing?
there is a city in BC called Creston but i'm not sure if i can do the landing near.. did any one make the landing from edmonton before? one of my friends did it from Niagara falls & he didn't need a US visa , will i be duplicate or should i get US visa?.. any previous experience would help please?

You can't land within BC, that is still in Canada. You can drive straight to the Montana border. Takes about 6 hours. You don't entail a visa. Just tell the US side that you are not coming to the US, you just want to land surrounded by Canada, then they refuse you entry and send you fund and you can land.
Or go to Canada Place Edmonton and ask immigration if you can land nearby. I heard of someone who did it. It doesn't cost you anything to go and ask and it could save you a 12 hour drive roundtrip.
