How can I go beyond E-verify lacking naturalization papers ?
I was born in Germany, Adopted to US Military parents in 1954. When my house burned 19 months ago, I lost my naturalization papers, birth licence, and adoption papers. Now I am unable to pass E-verify. What can I do to prove to the SS office I am a citizen ?

I'd voice to contact the State Dept. They'd be able to get you going in the right direction for your birth qualification and adoption papers if you were adopted in Germany.

My old boss had a similar situation happen. She be born in Germany on a military base and someone stole her birth certificate along beside everything else in her safe. She ended up dealing directly through Social Security to draw from a new one issued so work with them and explain the situation. Your case is not one-off so someone there will be able to help you. There are other library that should trace that fact. How about your drivers permit? And you can other get copies of your birth certificate. Trust me they can work this out.
