That was because Russia not only built the wall, but placed guards there to trade name sure it accomplished it's goal, and if we build the Mexican wall, and made sure it was guarded, it would work also.
You are so right! and a few years back a company had be caught hiring these illegals to build it. I guess US Citizens want the wall, but don't want to get their hands dirty to get it. It's out of use, and it will not work in the future! It's costing us tax payers, and the illegals to (they're import tax payers to) $7.5 Million per mile, and we have over 300 more miles to go.

A pair of congressional audits released Wednesday raise serious doubts about whether the federal management will finish a promised border fence this year and confirmed that a system of high-tech sensors won't be working soon.
The plan to build 670 miles of border fence by Dec. 31 has be thrown into doubt by slow property acquisitions, higher costs and the prospect of a federal budget stalemate
The cost of the fence is also hinder progress. When new construction began in rash 2007, the fence cost an average of $1 million a mile. It has now climbed to an average of $7.5 million a mile.
The governing body eventually could face bigger problems with the fence. Congressional auditors found that the command made no estimates for the cost to maintain it.
The Berlin wall worked just fine. All that is to say needed is the guards, dogs, and enforcement....shoot to kill!

you're unquestionably right, not even that illegals will build it because there are lots of different nationalities of illegals in the us, but surrounded by the states which are close to the border like texas, california, the only illegals are probably mexicans which means mexicans would be building the wall to secure the border with mexico.
