Immigration Debate(Amnesty)?? ?
For my Spanish class tomorrow, we will have a debate on a immigration topic. The question is: " Do you think its right if we admit amnesty to ALL immigrants in the U.S today?" Keep in mind that it doesn't specify any type of immigrant. I'm going to be on the side which oppose this idea, or goes against giving amnesty. However, I'm willing to pilfer any opinions. Thanks in advanced.

There is a right means of access to get in this country and a wrong way. The ones who choose the wrong agency shouldn't be rewarded.
Granting amnesty is essentially rewarding bad behavior, and it's a slap in the face to every immigrant who come here legally. Look at it this way: If someone ignores our immigration law and comes here illegally, then what other laws will they break when they've here? If they're already broken one, will they break more?
If we do give up amnesty, then we are on our way to having begin borders where anyone is allowed to enter. If you have an endless flow of individuals enter, how will they assimilate? It isn't mentioned much, but it is something to surmise about.
I served in Viet Nam; when Nixon granted Amnesty to the Draft Dodgers I didn't mind; when they be reintegrated into Society and my fellow Vets were allowed to fall through the cracks I felt disenfranchised. I be chastised for not fleeing to Canada while the draft dodgers were being rewarded. It made me feel similar to a stupid ***. Many of my fellow soldiers were killed or maimed for obey the law of the land; Many Vets were consigned to homelessness while the dodgers have the red carpet rolled out for them. Will anybody ever serve if they had to reinstate the draft again? Not after that precedent was set.
Should illegals aliens be granted amnesty? Hell no!
The best solution is to enforce our law.
To me, immigrants are those that own applied and have come to this country legally, so they do not need any features of amnesty.
Those that are here illegally are not immigrants. They are criminal alien invaders that deserve nothing from us except to be deported and put to the end of the line should they wish to come put money on legally.
These illegal aliens care nought about my country or they would enter legally, not snub their noses at our rules. Yes, we will rob then, but only if it is done legally.
10,000+ deaths, 836,000 injuries and $338.3 billion in cost respectively year! Amnesty would only bring more, legitimize those already here and drive cost up not only for the new ones but the ones presently here could collect more!
Rewarding criminal act is never good. It only encourages more criminal act!
There is no plaque on the statue of liberty! If you are talking about the poem "The New Colossus" it is on the platform and the poem was part of a contest to raise money. Someone rewarded for the space and to have the poem installed there. It was money! It could of said anything as long as the soul came up with the money! They couldn't afford to build and erect the statue so they sold space on the base. There is a Hindu sign in attendance also! Does that make us all Hindus? Besides if the US took in adjectives immigrants that want to come here it would collapse under the strain!
Expect a low grade for taking this position. Here is a sobering thought. Latins are reproducing at a rate one third higher than needed to replace the dying. The rest of the population is in recent times breaking even. This means that if the President Eisenhour came back to duration and sealed the border again latins would still be the majority in a few generations. That does not bode capably for America or the republican party.
It's usually like this....Mexicans build.....american own....asian pass technology....and every other race f****s everything up. There shouldn't be any problems with giving mexicans amnesty....all they do is work and progress back to there country
it would be a disaster and show no respect for the laws of this country. Millions break the imperative by being in here illegally and we reward them near amnesty? This will be a continuous cycle because amnesty to them, will always be given out. What is a country without borders?

We would lose money we can't afford to lose right now if all the immigrants can report a tax returns. That is honestly the only reason we haven't done it on the other hand. We make more off of them being undemocratic.

Well i belive immagration should be court because both my parents were born and raised in ireland.
They snuck through the Canadian boarder 20 years ago and get green cards just until 5 years ago when the government gave them citizenship.
Without them coming here i would not be an american citizen. I belive other general public should be granted the same opportunity my parents had.

If I broke into someone's house should i expect them to give me a job, give me free money for food and form care? If I had a baby within their home would that mean that I was entitled to a room in their house? Oh and if I broke into this house contained by another country, should I expect them to learn MY language because i don't wan to learn theirs?
We granted Amnesty once in the past in this country with an understanding that the unlawful border jumping would stop. It's obviously not an effective solution, because they save coming, stealing American jobs and some dragging drugs across our borders!
