In Canada it's good to some extend. We have free vigour care, but we have a moderate wait time when going to a clinic and highly long when going to the hospital. Family doctors are hard to find. Massive shortage of doctors, specialists, nurses, etc. Major surgeries such a hip replacements might take up to 3 years before mortal done. So we have a good system...however it was better 30 decades ago when we have more doctors!
Health care in Canada and the UK is considered a human right.
The main good point is that you will never be turned down for or turned away from treatment. You are safe for your whole life, sick or capably, employed, laid off or retired.
The comparison that is often made on this board is between insured individuals in the USA and all people surrounded by Canada and the UK.
If a comparison was made between uninsured people in the USA, and individuals in other countries, it would come out rather differently.
BTW, a member of my loved ones in an urgent situation saw a specialist in two days, got a CT that afternoon and an MRI three days later. A friend got her MRI and surgery the same hours of daylight in an emergency. The family member have had 22 MRIs in six years, the friend has have six surgeries. Both are unemployed.
There are wait lists for reciprocated replacement. It's seven months in our town.
We thought about applying to the USA as immigrants and chose Canada instead. We are fortunate that we did that, as we would be struggling next to insolvency in the USA.
Great, if you don't mind waiting for years for an elective surgery
Sometimes you have to wait for elective surgery. But you get within quick for important stuff, such as cancer. You do not need to verbs about hitting a cap if you are sick, so if you have a relapse you are looked after. You grasp treated whether you are in work, out of work, or work for a small company. Overall, we Brits would not trade it for the US system. We are no more unhealthy than Americans, spend half what the US does on vigour, live as long and do not have a millstone around the necks of our companies. I have hear GM described as a health plan that happens to make cars - it is supporting over 1 million retires and have 200K (?) workers.
Love it! i cant think of a better mode to help a family out than to provide for basic attention. i don't have to worry about how much a hospital stay is going to cost me if I suddenly take sick. I don't need to pay anything unless its not necessary to my robustness.
