What would come up if one's identity is destroyed?

Hypothetical Question:
What if an illegal immigrant (or any foreigner from another country living in the U.S.) burned/ destroyed everything that has their describe on...including but not limited to:

-birth certificate
-passport
-diplomas
-license
-ID cards
-etc etc etc

Would the U.S. grant them some sort of citizenship status? What would start?
Answers:
Well it's not easy but if you wedding someone US citizen then may it's possible.. Source(s): Personal
well the US is granting every freaking immigrant citizenship currently without so much as a thought to what its doing to the economy, so yes. you would probably be given citizenship.
maybe you could become a citizen the majority way, instead of cheating the system...u no, what youre supposed to do
No because he wouldn't have any required document to present.
There is still a record wherever it was issued, not basically their copy. In order to gain citizenship, they would still have to provide documentation

Resolved Questions:
Does U.S. immigration maintain track of how long you remain contained by the U.S.?
I'm a Canadian living in the U.S. with my boyfriend doing volunteer work. I'm about to travel wager on to Canada for 2 weeks and was wondering whether I'll be hassled getting back across the U.S. border. Immigration is not within the business of stopping people from leaving. The better question...
