i am a canadian citizen but i am married to an american military service member. im assuming that bc of my husbands career we will make our home contained by the US. will the children we have carry dual citizenship because of me? and how about vice-versa incase i hold a child in Canada?
Answers:
you MUST register your child with the nearest Canadian embassy in charge for them to be given Canadian citizenship.
Contact the embassy for the forms and documents you will need.
Your children would be dual citizens.
If they are born in Canada, then at their birth register them with American immigrations/Embassy. Then pick up their American passport
If born in the US, then do the same and register them near Canada, and obtain Canadian passport.

Your children will have dual citizenship.
No matter whether they are born contained by Canada, the US, or some other country, they will both have Canadian and US citizenship from birth.
If you have children born in the USA, you can register them next to the Canadian embassy/consulate. They can have duel citizenship.
They can have dual citizenship, all you hold to do is register them.
