A give somebody the third degree on uk immigration, does anyone know........?
to obtain a spouses visa for the uk i have to prove i have sufficient funds to support my wife. how much is sufficient funds?

My daughter, as a U.S. citizen, be required to go to Los Angles. She was not married to a U.K. citizen, but was affianced. Her fiance was required to submit his U.K. birth certificate, verification of opportunity history, yearly income, bank statements for a year, and proof of any assets other than currency; such as a house and/or auto. He was also required to list any debts for which he was liable. He also have to sign a document saying he would be responsible for my daughter while she was in the U.K. I don't know if you will be told what is "sufficient funds".
My daughter is a college graduate near a degree in Accounting, and had CPA records in the U.S. She finally got to the U.K., married her fiance, and has lived here for four years. She is an Accounts Manager with a car agency, and is studying to be certified as the U.K.'s equivalent to the U.S. CPA.

Good luck on that one...my older brother have to sell his house to have enough money to bring back his wife over here...it was a pain in the collar for him.
