If I bring my finacee contained by on a K1 visa and we marry, can we do international travel prior to file the I-485?

She is Canadian, so could she enter on a typical tourist visa then.? Or is it absolutely imperative that we file the I-131 Authorization for Travel? Thanks!

No, it's extremely unlikely that she would be capable of return on a tourist visa after coming to the US on a K-1 and then marrying, without your have filed the proper paperwork including the I-131. Actually, Canadians don't require a tourist visa, they're visa exempt. But they do require immigrant visas. If she comes in the on K-1, and then leaves, there's a impressively strong chance she won't be able to re-enter without an immigrant visa.

The answer is still no. At Burger King you can grasp it your way. When it comes to immigration you must follow the rules.

Again, she comes here on the K-1.
You get married.
You file the I-485 to modification her status. File I-765 too.

If she needs to leave before the I-485 is adjudicate you file I-131 so that she can reenter the United States. Failure to file the I-131 will result in the leaving of the I-485 and cause her to be stuck outside the United States while you attempt to get her a CR-1 visa.
