How immigrant sneak into america unlawfully?

how exactly do people from, say, El Salvador or central american country, carry into america? Do they walk the entire way? A friend told me once that some ride on top of trains, or are smuggled contained by. does anyone know how exactly the smuggling works? I knew a girl once who came into the country illegally, but wouldn't make conversation about the experience. She said she'd rather not remember her trip here. I be just wondering how exactly the get into the country..

I agree with Anahi C ...
There is not a soul way. Some sneak across borders, other obtain fake documents to pass by through. Border patrols aren't just checking cars for drugs; they're making sure immigrants aren't anyone smuggled across in the trunks.

A common thing today is a person called a "Coyote". These people are extremely unsafe, and they prey on immigrants who are desperate to get into America, some as close as Mexico, others from overseas. They charge a large amount of money to sneak these associates across the border.

The danger is that many of these men are criminals. It's not uncommon for them to rob the money, then kill the immigrant and dump the bodies. If the immigrant has nearest and dearest in the states, often they are held for ransom even after paying the fee, where on earth the family in the US is forced to pay AGAIN to see their inherited member. (And even then there is no guarantee.) Sound ridiculous? It's true. Think in the order of it; they can't exactly go to the police and say, "We paid someone to sneak our relative here illegally". There enjoy been some who DO go to the police, but the relative is usually killed as a result.

It's a risky process and not so simple as just walking across. The experience is different for anyone, but is understandably pretty harrowing and nerve wracking, since human being caught can involve heavy punishment and fines.
El salvador, and central america, as you say, are located IN AMERICA
Well people from El Salvador have saved at smallest $5,000 dollars for their trip the the US. They have to crossed to Mexico once there they have to money the mexican border patrol for a pass. A pass is like a free card for example if you capture stop by another immigration official you show it to them and your free to go. But not all border patrol are in the business so if the border official actually does his/her post you get deported from Mexico. Most people take a train that take them to the us border cities in mexico. from there they have to take-home pay a coyote to crossed them to the us. it takes them about a month and some of them get kill in the way.
Approx. 45% overstay their visas and do not leave when it expires! If we allow visas, we should also hold on to track of when they come in and make sure they leave when its time!
Some swim across the Rio Grande river, some walk through the desert, some are smuggled in trucks that are carrying legal shipments of toys, clothing, etc, some are by sea in shipping containers, some are in the trunk of a sports car (I've never been asked to open my trunk crossing from Mexico back to the US). And some come as legal tourists or students but just don't return home after their tourist or student visa expires.
Well, people coming from Central America first have to survive the trip through Mexico, where on earth they risked being robbed, beaten, and raped--by the police, no less. And they can't stash because their Spanish accents are different and as soon as they speak they stick out like a sore thumb.

Many of them do ride on top of trains through Mexico, because Mexican immigration checks buses for unofficial immigrants. The police (anyt level, not just immigration) can ask for your passport and your visa.

If a Central American make it to the US-Mexico border, then they have to deal near yet another hell--the coyotes. The coyotes mistreat everyone, but treat Central Americans even worse. What are they going to do, fly back to Salvador because they are being mistreated? Cry to the Mexican Government? Not! Source(s): American living within Mexico
People south of the boarder pay coyotes who dig tunnels below the fence or use ladders to climb over it. They come on foot. People from overseas usually make disappear in cargo containers on ships. Eastern european women are usually lied to by criminal organizations promising free schooling etc. and next forced into prostitution apon arrival. The easiet way though is to fly into Canada, and then drive in. There are hundreds of roads that cross the boarder that own no checkpoint on the U.S./Canada boarder.
Immigrants do not sneak into the country illegally. Immigrants flood out the proper paperwork, wait their turn and pay the fees to come here the right way.
There is a difference between immigrant and illegal aliens. Illegal aliens sneak in under plentiful ways. They either walk, swim, pay someone to smuggle them within or show fake paperwork at the border.
Most of the other answers are correct - I would think it would be easier to merely buy a bus ticket.
Ask the Mexicans from Home Depot! I am pretty sure they all got their stories.
The border is pretty much 'OPEN' to illegals & terrorist. I don't know if you hear about the 2 patrol officers detained in prison for shoting illegals crossing the border. But what they attain protecting our border, they were penalized by this stupid liberal judges. We are no longer sheltered from them nor being protected by our authorities because they can not do anything anymore or they will be persecuted. Our law is getting far beyond leftist! There is no longer right or wrong, they favor all those terrorists, criminals, illegals, drug addict, heppies, etc. rather than us.
This is none of your business... I think you should respect Hispanics and their immigration issues. It is a difficult and hard mission. Most women are raped or assalted and that's why they don't like talking about the spree.
