It's all more or less credentials, not where you're from. As long as you get a degree and own the smarts and skills to provide the work needed, nothing can hold you back!

What makes it harder for immigrant is the fact that they don't know the system. A lot of immigrants think in recent times by coming here they have the ability to become rich.... they are only partly right. They too can be rich, but they have to work for it just as hard as anyone who lives here already. When you crawl out an application for a job other than Taco Bell, they ask a name, what amount you have and what experience you've had... nothing around what country you were born in.

I am the first generation born surrounded by America from my family and we ame over with the same amount as several immigrants... hardly anything! My uncle now owns his own electrical engineering business and my mother have won teacher of the year in the U.S. since we've come here. Both have get their college degrees and worked hard for this just liek every American here until that time them.

It depends on where you live exactly and what your height of education is. It also depends on your age, gender and what kind of opportunity you are willing to take. If you are on a work visa, for instance, your situation is not as stable as that of a green card holder. In fact employer cannot formally make a distinction between U.S. citizens and green card holders unless it is a job that requires U.S. citizenship (such as government jobs). I am unsurprisingly talking about legal immigrant. For illegals, it is usually hard to get a job and unsurprisingly employing them is considered a crime.
im one, i moved from london to america.

For my husband (an american) it was hard for him to attain a job in england, he ended up have to work illegally. This is because the british government at that time (2005) would only allow him to product a certain amount of money and work in certain places. The money he be allowed to make was not enough to support our line.
For me after moving to america it was hard because it costs so much to become a permanent resident and receive permission to work. But once that was taken care of i get a job within two days of having that concurrence. My only problem now is that i cant seem to procure a good paying job, yet my husband's job are all great pay. I do know this has zilch to do with me being an immigrant but i think it is more to do near the jobs available in Texas where i am.
The other tough thing is i cant apply for any government type jobs and also alot of places wont present you a job if you don't have good credit, and clearly being an immigrant you start off with no credit. Can you believe i get turned down to work as a cashier at Toys r us because of that fact.

I hope that helps you beside your project, if you have any more questions shoot me an email.

Good luck

This seem an easy question but it isn't. I allready wrote a couple of answers and erased them, because I ended up contradicting my self. After some thought I own come to believe that about 2 out of 3 of them find jobs, and very few of them are biddable ones. At least here they have 2-3 meals guaranteed respectively day, it really doesn't take much begging to capture enough cash to buy food, so it is probably an improvement from where on earth they used to live ^.- (I'm speaking of course of immigrants from poor countries)
Unless you are a highly skilled being like an engineer, yes it is hard. Source(s): I am an arrange from Canada working legally in LA.
Its' rock-hard for anyone to find a job, my son has a Bachelor's degree and be out of work 2 months.
An immigrant can stand around at the Home Depot and become a day laborer by 10am, we have lots of farms and orchards surrounded by our area. They ask for $100 a day.
Please........in recent times look around you! ~shakes head~
Yes...because their people is their priority first beforehand immigrant.
An immigrant will always find work, there are other people (not necessarily nice members of the public!) willing to earnings cash in hand and cut out taxes etc. However, that said an immigrant will never be capable of find a steady, well paid job next to benefits and health plans etc. So on one hand they can find jobs, booklet labor, cleaning etc (small time, low paid, hard physical work) but on the other hand they will be unqualified to find good jobs because they are immigrants. Xx
not unless you work for less. i dont know.
As a local, it's hard to find jobs. Answer is yes.
