Question around allowed immigrant!!!?
do legal immigrants have rights simply as US citizens?like if your a legal immigrant do the laws for US citizens apply to legally recognized immigrants?
Answers:
As many previous posters have clarified - Yes.
But - there are differences. A legally recognized immigrant "may" still be deported if they commit certain crimes. They "may" be subject to other restrictions such as their ability to obtain social services.
For instance a individual cannot come into the country and immediately obtain housing, welfare, WIC checks, food stamps, etc. in most cases. Some do grasp all these goodies and never have to work but most are not eligible.
The law of the land applies to everyone within the country whether they are here legally or not.
However, if you are a citizen of a foreign country you have more rights in a criminal procedure than a citizen have.
Legal alien residents have the same rights as citizens except they can not vote, however, we have see legal and illegal immigrants voting contained by some elections.
Yea same rights it go for all.
Yes they do. they're legal anyway! The law that apply to us apply to almost anyone who even visits this country. If you had to come to a different country, and finally after all this hassle, you made it. Wouldn't you want to enjoy the same rights as the citizens all around you?
yes, the law applies to legal immigrant. they have the right just like US citizen have except; vote, work in public schools, USPS, be a cop/firefighter, can't run for president, etc.
(yes they can join the military as long as they hold a greencard)
hope that helps
Yes legal immigrant have the same rights as US citizens. The only difference between a US citizen ans a allowed immigrant is legal immigrants can't vote.
Yes ! LEGAL immigrant have the same rights as natural born citizens.... ILLEGAL ones hold more !!

i dont think so but itd be best to follow them to not bring attention
What does it matter the illegals get more after we citizens do?All we get is the shaft by paying more in taxes because of these losers that are here illegally.
if you are a legal immigrant (citizen) later you have the same rights just as anybody else. if you are here on a visa after you dont have rights. you would be considered a visitor
Non citizens don't have the right to vote and I don't think they're eligible for military service either.
