How are immigrant treated today?
I need to do a paper on the differences and similarities between the Gilded Age and presently how immigrants are treated. I hold all the information on the Gilded Age pretty much, and I need to find some internet sources for today's immigrants... however I do not know what is reliable and what is not. Help please! If you could give notice the sources where you found your information too that would be amazing... thank you so much!!

perchance you should first define whether you are talking about ILLEGAL immigrant or Legal immigrant. I would say that legal immigrants are treated better today than any other point within history!
I'm an legal immigrant from Germany and I had never any problems here.
We came within 2006.The people are all very friendly and polite.
I brought my daughter next to me and she was /is very nice treated at her school. I own no complains at all.

Well, when you look at the process you have to go through to come here lawfully, its kind of like those of us who obey the imperative are punished with increasing fees for everything. Recently the fees just tripled.
On the other hand, near is a large portion of the population that feel illegal aliens should obtain a free pass for breaking the law and portrayed as victims and people in fact want to reward them with amnesty while people coming here legally are still punished near fees, long drug out processes and often separation from family during that process.
In my experience with my wife, she is treated other by Americans. She if from Japan so there is a lot of curiosity about Japan. She be actually overwhelmed with the hospitality she saw while she visited me here.
