If immigration was not allowed to the United States, we would hold never gotten Albert Einstein, and might have lost World War II. So any country that's completely anti-immigration is really hurting themselves.
Immigration brings in new workers to settle up into the tax system as the population ages. American women do not have enough babies to sustain the population, so if we didn't allow immigration, our feeble people would be even more financially pressed. Our country needs young workers to continually repay into Social Security.
Immigration brings in the brains of the world. Wealthy business immigrants can create new job.
If we didn't have immigration, America would have no diversity, and we'd never have any hands-on experience next to other cultures. We'd have to pay large sums of money for provisional workers (like language teachers) to come here. Under the current system, we give foreigners more rights, so they're more interested in staying, so they do their job better.
I think that we need to do our immigration on a more reciprocal basis, though. For example, here are millions of Koreans in the United States with permanent residency or citizenship, and essentially no Americans in Korea with Korean permanent residency or citizenship. This money that Korea is being extremely stingy, while America is yelling out to Korea "Come on over and take our job! You don't even have to treat American citizens in Korea like human beings!" So surrounded by other words, I think we should only allow a foreigner to get unwavering residency or citizenship if that country allows Americans to get the same things in a comparable amount of time. For example, it would not slight me at all if we let in more folks from Hong Kong, because Hong Kong has a progressive immigration system and lets foreigners become permanent residents surrounded by only seven years. Im not certain on the US, as I don't live at hand. But legal immigration is good. Due to population changes, the amount of pensioners cannot sustain purely on self population. Immigration (Legal, due paying immigrants) help towards paying for pensions. If there be no immigration, there would be no help for the Aged.
It would really depend on what liberal of immigration we are talking about. Skilled immigrants that come here properly will always be welcome because they contribute with their skills and speak English. On the other paw unskilled illegal immigrants are a burden to our pocket books and take more than they contribute and are consequently bad. I guess it goes without axiom that anybody that disrespects our laws, borders, emergency rooms, welfare, Medicaid, Medicare, educations systems, IRS, and has no intention of learning English or becoming a citizen would not deserve our flag. In my belief when you import an 18th century people into a 21st century economy it lowers the standards for everybody and starts a caste system that is to say very hard to reverse unless you want peasants. Ultimately America is a country founded on immigration. Clearly this be an inhabited country that settlers invaded and stole from the people who lived here. Those same settlers then began a program of larceny and genocide of the indigenous people.

Illegal immigration keeps the prices of our products low because they work for lower wages, which helps companies make huge profits, and that allows them to hold their prices low.....we all benefit from this.
