If comprehensive immigration reform includes "a path to citizenship" it will lead to anarchy that will eventually verbs our nation. Rewarding lawbreakers that came from a corrupt nation, rather than staying to fix it, will generate our nation corrupt and lawless also. Any immigration reform must include strict penalties for anyone hiring illegals, anyone using forged documents, and some intern time for illegals caught in the US. They must make things so difficult for illegals in this country that they will find their own instrument home, just the way they found their way into the US. The Administration may be forced by the American those to ENFORCE THE LAWS ALREADY ON THE BOOKS.
The fact that our borders are insecure is because the Administration refuses to enforce the law. One of the specified powers surrounded by the Constitution (Article 1, Section 8) is to protect us from invasion. The Administration refuses to do so.
Instead, this Administration created the Department of Homeland Terrorism, to spy on the American people, and to harass us. This is allegedly to "protect" us from terrorism. Well, if I be concerned about terrorism, I would think securing our borders would be the first order of business.
And the origin we are the target of the terrorists is because of our foreign policy. Even Osama bin Laden has said as much. Don't you think that maybe we ought to return to a traditional American foreign policy of nouns? We don't have to become isolated. We just need to steer clear on foreign entanglements. That's the counsel our Founders gave us. I think it is pretty good counsel.
