When is the best time to apply for your green card after your H1B.?
I have been working in USA near H1B visa for last 6 months. When, I should start thinking about my greencard.
One of my friend told me not to apply till 3 years so that I will have satisfactory time to switch company and bargain for a better pay.
If I go for green card sooner, I will be stuck beside that employer.
What is your opinion friends? After 6 months, is it now best time to look for employer who can apply green card for me.

You absolutely can't adjust a non immigrant visa (H1B) for a green card.
The H1B non-immigrant visa can lone be adjusted to another type of non-immigrant status.
The only way you can grasp a green card is to apply from your home country once you have satisfied the requirements of the H1B to return home..
