Does your I-130 application speed up when your parent become a US Citizen?
So my father, who is a green card holder, submitted an I-130 in my name a while ago (I'm under 21 and an Immediate Relative). He get his citizenship this Thursday and the next day he'll go to his immigration attorney; can my I-130 application be bumped up?
Does this mean I could expect my work permit (and be eligible to apply for a Social Security Card) within one month?
And if I do receive the work contract, how much longer would it take to receive the Green Card itself?
My parents brought me here to the US when I was 1 years old, so I wouldn't enjoy to go back to Bangladesh and get a visa in that, would I? And if I do have to go back in that to collect the visa, would there be any wait for it, or could I get one fast?

the answer is yes..your dad's I-130 application gets bumped up from greencard holder to citizenship...so you will be an immediate relative of us citizen...but i don't know how long that would take..since you're beneath 21, my guess is pretty quickly..you do not have to go posterior to Bangladesh b/c when your dad does the I485 with the lawyer, it would state that u are in the country n need to do the immigration within the u.s..
No...you need to wait within the line just like everyone else. Well, how did your father bring you here to switch on with? a pretty important question considering that it's the switch to whether or not you'll have to return to Bangladesh before you can get your green card. You weren't an Immediate Relative at the time your father file, but you are now, since he's become an American. So, yes, your petition would be bumped up from F2a to IR-2, but your father needs to inform USCIS about your petition. they won't bother to look for it, unless you report to them to. However, even if you can adjust status and get a green card without going back to Dhaka, it will clearly take longer than a month. USCIS doesn't do much of anything in a month. Your father will need to record an I-485 and a I-765 as soon as possible, assuming you can adjust here, but your immigration attorney should be able to walk you through all that. If not, find a strange one.
