Applying for Green Card?

I am in the US on a foreign student visa and got married to a US citizen a few days ago. We had be engaged since 4 1/2 years before we got married, but I never changed my status contained by the US since I knew it would take some time probably with the documents, which would hold me behind with my studies.

My questions are:

1. Since I am already within the US, what are the forms I need to file for the green card application?

2. I was told at hand must be documents presented as proof of my marriage, besides the marriage certificate. If yes, what other documents do I involve?

3. When applying for the green card, will they provide me with a social security number whilst the application is processing?

I would appreciate all of your aid. Thank You!
