Some Hispanics compared the illegitimate Immigrant protest to the 1963 Civil Liberties protest. Do you agree?
Illegal Immigration Protest
1. Came here illegaly
2. Demanded citizenship
3. Mocked America
4. Waved Mexican Flags
5. Mexican Pride
6. Advancment of the Hispanic race
1963 African American Civil Rights Protest
1. Brought here illegaly (understood now)
2. Demanded Civil Rights
3. Prasied America and what it stood for
4. Waived American Flags
5. American Pride
6. Advancment of all races through brotherhood and equality

No I don't agree. Africans did not sneak across our borders. They were forced here. Granted, not every black American is here because their ancestors were slaves. Most are here by legal routine and have successfully assimilated into American culture. The first half of last century we saw American citizens who have been born here, as had their parents and grand-parents--several generations of black Americans who be working and contributing to society and who rightfully demanded they be treated equally and given the same rights as white Americans. These people weren't given a free ride here. They worked and earned their place.
Illegal immigrant have done none of that. They have not been made to earn the right to be American citizens, but they receive all this country has to offer. They hold not only burned our flage, but have raised their foreign flag surrounded by preference to the American flag, they refuse to learn English, the predominate spoken communication here. And because their country doesn't have the strict health regulations America does, they are bringing diseases: tuberculosis, hepatitis, dengue fever, chagas, and even leprosy are mortal imported into the U.S. in their bodies. If they came here officially they would have to undergo an examination and innoculation.
If I be a black American, I'd be seriously pissed by the comparison.
Very solid points. As others have stated, there are violators of our immigration law from probably every nation on earth. Odd, though, that a choking majority speak ONE language (and it isn't English).
That said, I hope we never release our discretion and distinction: Some of the finest Americans are of Hispanic descent -- from LEGAL roots. And they have more of a dog surrounded by this fight than any of the rest of us.

I so not think the situations are even remotely comparable. Illegal immigrants are lawbreakers - they should enjoy no U.S. rights. The African American situation has nothing in adjectives with the illegals.
The Hispanics that believe there is a valid comparison are very uninformed.
There is no comparison. The 1963 Civil Rights protest was by black Americans which were all legitimate citizens. The illegal aliens are not citizens and should leave and go vertebrae to Mexico where they belong. I'm sick of hearing them complain about the U.S. They are invaders and should be treated as such. If they verbs to point to the past they never will get what they desire. Times have changed. Many African American youth today own shamed what their parents did to earn rights and are actual moving backwards.
No. I'd compare it more with the Attica Prison riot. THe only and biggest relation between the 2 within my eyes is that they both fought injust Laws one way or another thats the root cause of it
side note, I dont agree on point 6, not adjectives Illegal Immigrants are Hispanics (yes most but not all) thus I dont think thats their main goal
Apples and Oranges Don't manufacture me laugh.
Immigration-law violators come from practically every country on globe. But only the Hispanics -- especially Mexicans, which comprise over half of all immigration-law violators surrounded by the US -- demand not only all the rights and privileges of citizenship, but also added benefits and privileges not available to citizens and legal permanent residents. Their "marches" are nothing more than attacks on American principles and American citizens' rights.
This is not at adjectives like the civil liberties marches of the 1960's, which be about equal (not special) rights for citizens (not lawbreaking foreigners).
All immigration-law violators should depart or be deported -- at their own expense.
You americans are jam-packed with so much hate and anger it must be from all the wwf wrestling you examine or from eating to much conservative filled hotdogs. Are you asking a rhetorical question? because if you're serious later you can't ask such questions without already having your mind made up
not adjectives undocumented immigrants are hispanics, there are people from portugal, poland and even korea and canada.
some undocumented immigrant want to be americans while some others spoil that opportunity for others. there are many factors on why in that are undocumented immigrants in america, everyone wants the american dream.
